About us
Jambow Jane: 6 people. 5 of them, from the same (Brazilian) family. Once in Italy, the family discovers its common passion for music and starts its project back in 2011.
In 2012 they officially become “Jambow Jane”, after the three siblings participate to a regional contest “Upload Sounds” with this name and get to the finale (among more than 120 participants).
In 2013 they launch their first auto-produced album with original songs, a rearranged old Brazilian song and the cover of “The Great Gig In The Sky” by Pink Floyd. Their sound mixes different shades of colours and does not belong to a single genre. They often choose an ironical way of expressing themselves.
It’s only in 2016 that the band becomes what it is today in 2018, after Nick Petricci (multi-strumentalist and official drummer of the band) takes part in the project. Together they release their second album “Worlds and Bridges” in October 2017. It contains only original songs in English, Italian and Portuguese. The concept they aim at is to bring different worlds and cultures together by connecting them with imaginative bridges. Without prejudice or presumption.
In November 2017 they experience their first tour in Germany and the Netherlands, where they play in different occasions.
On July 14th, 2018 they play on Pistoia Blues Festival’s stage, right before Steve Hackett’s concert, as a prize for winning the national contest “Obiettivo Bluesin 2018”, from which follows the title of “Best Italian Blues Band 2018”.
On January 2019 they make their second tour, playing in Limeira and São Paulo. In São Paulo they have the honor to call Walter Franco on stage, great singer and composer famous in the 70s and 80s, with whom they play some of his songs with his son Diogo Franco.
On June 21st, 2019 they launch their single “Give me Hope”, which was already been anticipated from the music video on June 2nd.
On July 22nd, 2019 they play at Musica Riva Festival, which every year welcomes prestigious artists from all over the world.
On March 13th, 2020 they launch their single “Sicurezza”.
